SUPREME COURT UPHOLDS MOST OF TEXAS GERRYMANDER

"it is unlikely that the Republicans will lose any seats in Texas"

Don't be so sure of that. The TX ledge has managed to piss off even the most die hard Repbulicans. Not enough to make them vote Dem, but maybe enough to keep them at home instead of the at the polls. Doggett will be safe in his district even after it is redrawn.

AMNESTY FOR SOME INSURGENTS MAY BE THE PRICE OF VICTORY

This may have some positive results, but I doubt it will change much for the hard core of the insurgency (those who are not in prison). If you are willing to blow up yourself and/or your fellow country men an offer of amnesty isn't going to change your mind.

ABC NEWS CALL MONITORING: WHAT'S GOING ON?

Rick Moran Said:
9:16 am
"the FBI - NOT NSA, NOT THE CIA - is looking at the phone records in connection with a legitmate criminal inquiry into the leaking of classified information."

Information the FBI gets is put into a big database that can be accessed by the NSA and CIA. The NSA collecting phone records is nothing compaired to what they can get with National Security Letters.

IMAGE IS SUBSTANCE IN IMMIGRATION DEBATE

I'm suspicious of the sudden hysteria over immigration. It isn't like this subject just showed up on our nation's doorstep. Hell, Regean signed a huge amnesty program in 1986. Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 (IRCA) (Public Law 99-603).

More likely, this is an issue intended to distract from the growing unpopularity of the war, the budget deficit, the trade deficit, and the massive increase in the size of government.
